Milford GAA Club along with family and friends of Paul Buchanan, who tragically disappeared while kayaking off the coast of Gweedore last October, made a significant donation to local rescue volunteers following a memorial walk at Christmas.
Arranmore RNLI and Sheephaven Subaqua Club received the donations on Saturday, from CLG Baile Na nGalloglach in memory of Paul.
Mr Buchanan, a popular chartered accountant from Ramelton, disappeared after setting off from Magheragallon pier in Gweedore on the 3rd of October. His kayak was found two days later.
Arranmore RNLI, Bunbeg Coast Guard and divers from Sheephaven Sub Aqua Club were all involved in the search for Paul but unfortunately, his body was never recovered.
Milford GAA club organised a ‘Walk for Paul’ on St Stephen’s Day which had a great turnout.
